I just saw Pokki, a new HTML5 “app experience” for Win7, linked on Ultralinx, and I had to try it out. So far, I’m really intrigued; I think with a larger set of supported apps it could really, really shine. I’m curious to see if the Gmail app can replace my need for Thunderbird, but the jury’s still out on that. It supports some other high-profile web services already (Facebook, Twitter, reddit, RSS feeds), so I would really recommend giving it a shot if you’re like me and addicted to that mobile app experience.

If I had a wishlist, I’d have to say I hope Evernote, WordPress, and Google Reader support are coming (I don’t want to have to manually import all of my feeds into Headlines, yuck!), but even as it is I think it’ll be a quality of life improvement. Really slick UI, and already some breadth in what it supports. Thumbs up!
